About two thirds of all companies in the mechanical and plant engineering sector are victims of product piracy, according to a recent study of the VDMA (German Engineering Federation). Therefore, it is increasingly important to explore new authenticity protection technologies for sustainable protection of technological innovation, businesses and consumers from economic and health threats. Schreiner ProSecure develops individual solutions enabling the sustainable distinction of originals from counterfeits.

Schreiner ProSecure combines all the requisite techniques for products oder product components, packaging or shipping units to create a specific security system that is individually and precisely tailored to the customer's needs.
To offer even more innovative and efficient protection systems against product piracy, Schreiner ProSecure has joined forces with leading corporations in the mechanical and plant engineering sector in the ProAuthent* project. The research work performed in cooperation with the Technical University Munich primarily aims to develop suitable identification and authentication technologies and an IT-supported system for product tracing. The objective: a preventative protection system that precludes the use of counterfeit components and spare parts--and thus their adverse consequences--in the mechanical and plant engineering sectors.
