Some self-adhesion solutions such as standard labels can be detached or exchanged without major effort. Therefore, Schreiner ProSecure customizes security labels to provide definite proof of tampering.

Use of a void effect, for example, visibly indicates a tampering attempt on the label. The void effect cannot be reversed. In addition, security cuts within the label result in the seal’s destruction in a peel-off attempt. Other—special—materials and adhesives are highly sensitive to heat. They contract or are destroyed in tampering attempts involving heat.

The substrate, as well, can serve to provide tamper evidence. The use of a strong adhesive damages the base material or leaves non-removable adhesive residues in peel-off attempts.
