Void-Seals:
Visible tamper evidence
Theft from or exchange of products in primary or secondary packaging is a common problem. Conventional seals only provide inadequate protection from undetected product theft or exchange. Void Seals protect packaging from undetected removal of products.
This protection is based on the combination of a void effect and the adhesive:
- When a seal is detached for the first time, a visible pattern or wording (e.g. “Void” or “Open”) remains on the surface of the packaging. This enables manufacturers to prove that the product marking or packaging was tampered with in order to ward off unjustified warranty or liability claims.
- Any illegal attempt to completely peel off Schreiner ProSecure’s Void seals results in visible damage to both the seal and packaging.
Schreiner ProSecure offers standard as well as customized Void Seal as viable tamper-protection solutions. The seals are used to clearly indicate that packaging has been opened. This evidence will remain permanently visible after the first attempt to peel back the seals.
For even higher counterfeiting protection, various overt or covert security features may be integrated into the seals. The option of customized, consecutive numbering can be used for documentation as well as perpetual inventory purposes.
